Thank You to All of Our 5K Participants!

Congratulations to Kurt Russell, a 25-year-old from Ladson, S.C., who won first place overall in the 2008 LifePoint 5K Run/Walk with a finish time of 17:10. Congratulations also to Jennifer Burkard, 45, of Charleston, S.C., who was the first transplant recipient to cross the finish line - with a time of 23:47.

More than 200 racers, including 15 transplant recipients, competed in the April 12 race at Wannamaker Park. Proceeds will help send Team South Carolina to the National Kidney Foundation U.S. Transplant Games in Pittsburgh this summer.
