Coroners, Pathologist, Honored for Commitment to Donation

LifePoint has given Dove Awards to four individuals in recognition of their outstanding commitment to promoting organ, tissue and eye donation in South Carolina. The awards were presented on June 13, 2007, during The South Carolina Coroner’s’ Association 2007 Training Conference.

Recipients of the Dove award include Lloyd Ward, President of the Coroner’s Association and Barnwell County Coroner; Gary Watts, Richland County Coroner; Dr. Jim Mahanes, Pickens County Coroner and Dr. Joel Sexton, Forensic Pathologist, Newberry (S.C.) Pathology Associates.

LifePoint was a major sponsor of the three-day event and provided the awards banquet.
