Donor Sabbath is viewed as an interfaith time for all religions in the United States to unite around the issue of life and giving. We ask clergy to simply highlight the need for organ/tissue/eye donation during a worship service at least once during the months of November and December. Rose Parade Float Rider Ceremony
Wed., Nov. 20 from 9:30 – 11:00 A.M.
South Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles, Blythewood, SC
For the FIRST time ever, a South Carolina transplant recipient will actually be RIDING on the 2014 Donate Life Rose Parade Float. Sherri Plair, a Columbia resident and SCDMV employee, will be formally introduced at this ceremony as one of only 30 recipients throughout the nation selected for this honor. This opportunity is being made possible through a grant from Lucey Mortgage Corporation in Mt. Pleasant.
Rose Parade Floragraph Ceremony
Wed., Dec. 18 from 9:30 – 11:00 A.M.
Grand Strand Conference Center – Myrtle Beach, SC
Keith Wallace, a deceased donor from Manning, SC, will be our South Carolinian honored with a floragraph (floral portrait) on the 2014 Donate Life Rose Parade Float. Keith’s family will finish his floragraph at the conclusion of this ceremony. This opportunity is being made possible through a grant from Bridge to Life, based in Columbia.
