Annual S.C. Donor Family Ceremony

Donor Family Services sponsors a statewide Donor Family Ceremony to honor our donor families. These families are invited to share in this special time of honoring and remembering their loved ones who have given the greatest gift – life, sight, and quality of life. The donor names are called and/or photos displayed during a formal ceremony. Donor families are given gifts in remembrance of their loved ones.

This year we will also be starting a new project--the South Carolina Donor Quilt! Please join us for this special time to celebrate and remember the life of your loved one. Click here to view photos from last year's ceremony.

2007 Donor Family Ceremony

When :: March 17, 2007 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Where :: First Baptist Church in Columbia, S.C.

Ceremony Video :: Last year we showed a video of many of your loved ones and gave you a copy of that presentation. This year we plan to have another video presentation including additions for new donor families or for those who were unable to participate last year.

If we do not already have your loved one's photo, please send a picture to Pat Cromwell at cromwellp@lifepoint-sc.org by Friday, February 9.

S.C. Donor Quilt :: LifePoint Donor Family Services is creating a South Carolina Donor Quilt to honor our loved ones. Each donor family who wants to participate will be invited to pin their patch to the quilt during the ceremony. After the ceremony, we will have all of the patches sewn together to make the quilt. We ask that you bring your patch with you to the ceremony instead of sending it in advance. Click here for instructions on creating a patch for the Donor Quilt.

RSVP :: Due to space availability, we ask that you bring no more than 10 people per family to this event. To confirm your attendance, please RSVP to Pat Cromwell with the number of people who plan to attend as soon as possible (and before February 9):

Directions to Ceremony :: From North, keep on I-26 toward Columbia (do not go towards Charleston). I-26 becomes I-126, which becomes Elmwood Ave. Turn right onto Marion Street. You’ll come to the parking garage, which is on the corner of Marion and Hampton. Enter to your left into the parking garage. The church is on Hampton Street.

From South, keep on I-26 until you come to the Columbia Exit/I-126. Bear right and go toward Columbia and follow the directions above from here. The church is located at 1306 Hampton Street.
