Tissue Recovery Coordinator :: Charleston and Columbia Offices

LifePoint, Inc. is currently seeking candidates for the position of Tissue Recovery Technician – Per Diem for its Charleston, SC office. The Tissue Recovery Technician – Per Diem is responsible to and works under the direction of the Manager of Tissue Recovery Operations. The incumbent is responsible for tissue recovery back-table duties for transplant and research following established LifePoint policies and procedures. Performs ocular tissue deliveries to surgery centers within service area. Assist other team members with driving, preparation/cleanup of the recovery room and manipulation/positioning of the donor. Actively participates in an on-call schedule to adequately cover the needs of LifePoint's tissue recovery operations.

Qualifications:The incumbent in this position will be provided with thorough training of LifePoint’s Policy and Procedures. The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications for the position of Tissue Recovery Technician – Per Diem:
- Must possess degree/knowledge and/or previous experience in health care/medical field
- Must have the physical stamina to work long, unpredictable hours and must be flexible to work in unpredictable situations.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects; and roll/manipulate objects up to 300 lbs.
- Must have a valid SC state driver’s license.
- Must have excellent communications skills, attention to detail and demonstrated ability to make decisions in stressful situations.
- Equivalent work experience may be substituted.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality are a must for this position.
