Position Description

Ocular Distribution Specialist :: Charleston Office

LifePoint, Inc. (SC Organ and Tissue Donation Program) is seeking a full-time Ocular Distribution Specialist. Duties will include assisting in the distribution of ocular transplant and research tissue by reviewing donor screening forms, donor medical records, slit lamp evaluations, specular microscopy and various laboratory and administrative duties as needed. This is a day shift position with rotating on-call and weekend hours.

Duties will include assisting in the distribution of ocular transplant and research tissue by reviewing donor screening forms, donor medical records, performing slit lamp evaluations and specular microscopy, aseptically processing corneas for transplant, and various laboratory and administrative duties as needed. This is a day shift position with some early morning and weekend hours. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, medical background and valid SC driver's license, be dependable, reliable and responsible. Previous ophthalmology experience, COA or COT helpful but not required. This is a challenging and rewarding position with good pay and an excellent benefit package.
